Green coffee
Ethiopian green coffee for importers and roasters
Grade 1 and 2 washed and natural lots from Yirgacheffe, Sidama, Guji and beyond, and commercial grades for blends and volume. Tell us the cup you’re after: as a licensed exporter buying directly from farmers and washing stations, we’ll show you what this season actually has, with lot details and samples to cup where available.

Who we supply
- Importers and green coffee traders adding Ethiopian coffees to their offer lists, or looking for a new Ethiopian supplier.
- Roasters buying from origin, or ready to start, who want one dependable supplier in Ethiopia.
- Distributors and other trade buyers able to receive an international shipment, directly or through an importer.
Every order ships directly from Ethiopia, FOB Djibouti or FCA Addis Ababa, so you buy at origin.
The coffee
Grade 1 and 2 lots, judged on the sample
Our green coffee focus is Grade 1 and 2 washed and natural lots from Yirgacheffe, Gedeb, Sidama, Guji, Limu and Jimma. For blends and larger orders, we supply Grades 3 to 5 as well.
What you get
The facts behind each lot
Region, process, grade, crop year and lot details for every coffee we propose, with the quality information we have for it.
How to judge it
The sample, not the label
A grade tells you about defects and cup quality in Ethiopia’s grading, not about flavour. Cup the sample against your own spec before you decide.
Timing
Early in the season
Lots sell as the harvest moves on, so the choice of high-grade coffee is widest early. Plan ahead if you can.

Build your brief
You don’t need every answer to get started. The more you can share, the sharper our first shortlist.
| Detail | What to tell us | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Origin | A region such as Yirgacheffe, Sidama, Guji, Limu, Jimma or Harar, or simply the cup profile you want. | Ethiopian coffees vary enormously from one area to the next. A region or a flavour target narrows the search fast. |
| Process | Washed, natural, or another method you’re looking for. | Process shapes the cup, and availability differs from one method to another. |
| Grade or quality level | An export grade from Grade 1 to Grade 5, a minimum cup score under a named protocol, or your usual spec. | It tells us which coffees to put in front of you, and which to leave out. |
| Quantity | Kilos, 60 kg bags, tonnes or containers, per shipment or per year. A rough figure, or “not sure yet”, is fine. | Volume decides which lots are large enough for you, and whether sea or air freight makes sense. |
| Destination | Country, and port if you know it. | Routes, documents and shipping terms all depend on where the coffee is going. |
| Timing | When you want the coffee shipped, or the crop you’re planning for. | Lots sell as the season goes on. The earlier you plan, the wider your choice. |
| Packaging and documents | Bag type and liners (GrainPro is available), plus any certificates or paperwork your market or customers require. | We confirm what we can provide before any quotation. Nothing is assumed. |
| Shipping terms | FOB Djibouti for sea freight, FCA Addis Ababa Bole International Airport for air freight, or freight arranged by us to your port. | Terms are confirmed in our quotation; knowing your preference early saves a round of emails. |

Questions buyers ask
Which grades and regions can you supply?
Every Ethiopian export grade, washed or natural: Grade 1 and 2 lots for roasters and importers who buy on the cup, and Grades 3 to 5 for blends and larger orders. We source most from Yirgacheffe, Gedeb, Sidama, Guji, Limu and Jimma, and can look further on request. See our coffees for regions, processes and grades explained.
Where does the coffee ship from?
We sell FOB Djibouti for sea freight, or FCA Addis Ababa Bole International Airport for air freight. If you’d rather have one price to your port or airport, we can arrange the freight and quote it with the coffee.
Do you have a list of available lots?
Not publicly. Ethiopian coffee is offered lot by lot and season by season, so any published list would be out of date within weeks. Instead, we check what’s available against your brief and share the lot details for every coffee we propose.
What is the minimum order for green coffee?
There’s no single minimum: it depends on the coffee and how it ships. Tell us your rough volume, however small or uncertain, and we’ll tell you what’s realistic.
Can I get samples before ordering?
We discuss samples for every coffee we propose. Availability, sample size and any cost depend on the coffee, and we confirm them with you before anything is sent.
Can you supply certified coffee?
Yes. Organic and Rainforest Alliance certified coffee is available as an optional extra (Rainforest Alliance now includes the former UTZ programme). Availability depends on the lot and the season, and we share the certificate for your lot before you commit.
